Shades of Grey...Book Review :D

Hi! Guess what! I'm getting braces! Surprisingly, I'm quite excited :D I'm definitely not looking forward to the pain though!
I've meant to do this review ages ago, but I kinda forgot :/ This was one of the books I read on holiday, and it was great!

Hundreds of years in the future, after the Something that Happened, the world is an alarmingly different place. Life is lived according to The Rulebook and social hierarchy is determined by your perception of colour.

Eddie Russett is an above average Red who dreams of moving up the ladder by marriage to Constance Oxblood. Until he is sent to the Outer Fringes where he meets Jane - a lowly Grey with an uncontrollable temper and a desire to see him killed.
For Eddie, it's love at first sight. But his infatuation will lead him to discover that all is not as it seems in a world where everything that looks black and white is really shades of grey . . .

Genre - Comedy/Sci-fi
Author - Jasper Fforde
Publisher - ???
Rating - 5/5!! XD

This was an amazing book! First of all, I love the cover! It's so bright and colourful and pretty...*drools uncontrollably*
Anyway, this book is comic genius! It's hilarious the way Jasper Fforde handles his alternative universe, creating things that seem so realistic. In his world, spoons are prized possessions, everyone dies in a green room, rabbits are rare and scraps of metal are huge on the "beige" market. the plot is extremely well scripted and relaxed - there's never a rush to move from one chapter to another.  It's like Douglas Adams on heroin! It's just so goddamn funny!!!! You need to read this book if its the last thing you do! :D
